Three mittens?

It's my parents' 32nd wedding anniversary today, and as usual, I have no idea what to get them. They never make any noise about it, so some years I don't even notice the date has passed until weeks later. I guess as the only child, it should fall to me to make a big deal out of it. Oh, well, maybe next year. You know, when their union is AS OLD AS JESUS and I am thirty, oh god...

Anyway, presents for pairs are so far beyond me. Couples massage? Two Snuggies sewn together? Matching hats?

What do you guys buy for couple-events?

I was also an only child and never once celebrated my parents' anniversary (he also died before they made it to the major milestone of 25, so...). They didn't make much of a deal of it either. I suppose it's nice if people do, but honestly it seems a bit odd to me to celebrate someone else's marriage. I could see throwing them a party at 25 and 50 but otherwise, no.

So I guess, don't worry about it?

It always strikes me as a bit odd, too, but then I get to the actual day and I pile some guilt on myself. I'm reaaaally good at that :)
